Location of the association of municipalities in the Grand Est region

The Communauté d'agglomération Sarreguemines Confluences is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the departments of Moselle and Bas-Rhin region Grand Est . It was founded on December 23, 2016 and comprises 38 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Saargemünd . The specialty lies in the cross-departmental and regional structure of the municipalities.

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté d'agglomération Sarreguemines Confluences (before 2017) and
• Communauté de communes de l'Albe et des Lacs .

Despite having the same name as one of the predecessor organizations, it is a new establishment with a different legal personality.
