Location of the association of municipalities in the Grand Est region

The Communauté de communes du Pays de la Zorn is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region . It was founded on March 14, 1996 and currently consists of 20 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Hochfelden .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former communities of Gingsheim , Hohatzenheim , Mittelhausen and Wingersheim were merged to form a Commune nouvelle under the name Wingersheim les Quatre Bans .

With effect from 1 January 2017 the municipality was Schaffhouse-sur-Zorn after Hochfelden incorporated.

With effect from January 1, 2018, the former municipalities of Geiswiller and Zœbersdorf were merged to form Commune nouvelle Geiswiller-Zœbersdorf .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Val de Moder ( Communauté d'agglomération de Haguenau ) and Ringeldorf became part of the Commune nouvelle Val-de-Moder . This reduces the number of inhabitants and the total area of ​​the association as well as the number of member communities to 20.
