Swissfirst was the name of a Swiss financial group.

• The group consisted of the former Swissfirst AG , which was merged into Bellevue Group AG in December 2006 . The trust that existing and potential customers of Swissfirst had lost through media coverage made it impossible to continue operating the bank under this name. All lawsuits by ex-shareholders regarding the merger have failed before the court.
• The former swissfirst Bank AG , also based in the group, was the former private banking unit of Swissfirst AG, which was sold to Banque Pasche SA in December 2006 and dissolved in May 2007.
• The former swissfirst Bank AG branch in Basel , which used to work in private banking at swissfirst Bank AG, was sold in November 2006 to Adler & Co. Privatbank AG , at that time a subsidiary of the Lucerne Cantonal Bank and which has since been merged with it.

The bank achieved an incredible level of awareness when the NZZ headlined on Sunday 23 July 2006: “Pension funds forego millions. The merger of Swissfirst and Bellevue took place at the expense of the members of the large pension funds. "

By also demonstrably false media releases - especially in the main, the alleged damage - the company was deprived of the basis of trust for banking transactions.

The private banking units were gradually sold and the Swissfirst Group dissolved. In October 2006 the former subsidiary in Liechtenstein was sold. The Basel branch of Swissfirst Bank AG was sold in November 2006 to Adler & Co. Privatbank AG, a subsidiary of the Luzerner Kantonalbank. The remaining private banking activities were finally transferred to Banque Pasche SA in December 2006. In November 2007, this was also taken over by the former subsidiary in Liechtenstein previously sold by Swissfirst.
