geography
Hambach borders the city of Sarreguemines (Saargemünd) in the north and the Bas-Rhin department (former Alsace region ) in the east . The place is at an altitude between 213 and 281 m above sea level. The municipality covers 17.60 km². The hamlets of Neuhof and Roth belong to the community.

Hambach is known as the seat of a smart production facility , the Smartville Hambach .
Hambach is also well-known beyond the region through the annual festival for older vehicles, which takes place on the first Sunday in September and where up to 600 vintage cars are exhibited.
Hambach station was on the Berthelming – Sarreguemines railway line .
