Marcelo Fabián Mazzitelli (born June 25, 1960 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Mendoza .

Life

Marcelo Fabián Mazzitelli studied at the seminary in San Isidro and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of San Isidro on March 11, 1986 through Bishop Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto .

In addition to duties in the pastoral care of the parish, he worked as prefect of studies and the Regens diocesan seminary. He was also President of the Association of the Argentine Seminary and was a member of the Council of Priests in his diocese. He graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina with a degree in theology. At times he was a missionary in Holguín , Cuba . Since 2015 he has worked for the Congregation for the Clergy in Rome.

On November 10, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Pauzera and auxiliary bishop in Mendoza. The Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Mendoza, Auxiliary Bishop Dante Gustavo Braida , donated him episcopal ordination on December 29 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the emeritus bishop of San Isidro, Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto, and his successor in office Óscar Vicente Ojea Quintana .
