Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto (born December 27, 1936 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine clergyman and emeritus bishop of San Isidro .

Life

Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto was ordained priest on September 5, 1964 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 28, 1976 Bishop of Rafaela . He was ordained bishop by the auxiliary bishop in San Isidro, Justo Oscar Laguna , on March 19 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Vicente Faustino Zazpe , Archbishop of Santa Fe , and Emilio Bianchi di Cárcano , Auxiliary Bishop in Azul .

John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of San Isidro on March 14, 1983, and he was inducted into office on June 15 of the same year. After Antonio María Aguirre's retirement , he succeeded him on May 13, 1985 as Bishop of San Isidro.

On December 30, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto for reasons of age.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 26, 2012 for the period of the Sedis vacancy as Apostolic Administrator of Merlo-Moreno . With the appointment of the new Bishop Fernando Carlos Maletti in May 2013 this office expired.
