The Diocese of Azul ( lat. : Dioecesis Azulensis , span. : Diócesis de Azul ) is in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese . It is located in the interior of the Province of Buenos Aires . Its seat is the city of Azul .

history

The diocese of Azul was founded on April 20, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Papal Bull Nobilis Argentinae Nationis Ecclesia from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of La Plata and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On February 11, 1957, the diocese of Azul gave parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Nueve de Julio .
