Weislingen is a French commune with 535 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region ( Alsace until 2015 ). It is located in the canton of Ingwiller and belongs to the Arrondissement of Saverne .

geography

The village is located in Crooked Alsace . The municipality has a share in the Palatinate Forest-Vosges du Nord biosphere reserve .

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Weislingen belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Zabern district in the Lower Alsace district .
