geography

The community is located in the Palatinate Forest-Vosges du Nord biosphere reserve . The neighboring communities are Struth in the north, La Petite-Pierre in the southeast, Lohr and Ottwiller in the southwest and Asswiller in the west.

history

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Petersbach belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Zabern district in the Lower Alsace district .
