Osthoffen ( German Osthofen ) is a French commune with 825 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Strasbourg and the canton of Lingolsheim .
geography
Osthoffen is located in the Upper Rhine Plain about 15 kilometers west of Strasbourg .
Neighboring communities are Furdenheim in the north, Handschuheim and Breuschwickersheim in the east, Ernolsheim-Bruche in the south and Dahlenheim in the west.

Attractions
Osthoffen has one of the oldest continuously inhabited castles in Alsace. Osthoffen Palace, originally built as a castle in the 12th century, was redesigned as a residential palace during the Renaissance and has been continuously inhabited by the Grouvel family since the 18th century. Parts of the privately owned building are now available as guest rooms and rooms for weddings, conferences and other occasions.
