Willem van Baarsen

Willem van Baarsen is a Dutch jazz violinist .

Van Baarsen studied violin at the Royal Music Academy in The Hague. He is a member of the ZAPP! String Quartet , the Wereldband group and Emmy Verhey's orchestra Camerata Antonio Lucio . As a member of Carel Kraayenhof's tango sextet Sexteto Canyengue (with Rocco Boness , Martijn van der Linden , Sebastiaan van Delft and Daniel Lehmann ), Baarsen performed in Europe, North America, Argentina and the Middle East.

He composed the score for Simone van Dusseldorp's film Kikkerdril ( Frogs & Toads , 2009).
