William Arntz

William Arntz is a producer, director and screenwriter.

Life

William Arntz graduated in engineering in 1972 and then began his first job as a co-developer of laser weapon systems. After two years he took a break , traveled around for some time and produced Beat the Deva , a 60-minute animated film in Boston in 1974 with a long-time friend .

In 1980 he moved to California, where he was hoping for a career in film. In the late 1980s he succeeded in developing the AutoSys software without much entrepreneurial experience , which was then used by Merrill Lynch, NASA, Sun Microsystems, Cisco and Boeing, among others.

In 1995 Arntz sold his company and only produced his next film a decade later, What the Bleep Do We Know .
