Zwickau-Lippoldsruh wind farm

The Zwickau-Lippoldsruh wind farm was built in 2015 on the boundary between Zwickau and Mülsen . It is operated by Energieanlagen Lippoldsruh Verwaltungs GmbH , based in Mülsen.

Total located at the site three wind turbines of the type Vestas V112 with a rated power of each 3.3 MW, resulting in a total installed power of 9.9 MW is obtained. The rotor diameter of the wind turbines is 112 meters and the total height up to the rotor blade tip is 196 meters. As with all systems that exceed a height of 100 m, night lights are installed for air traffic.

The wind farm can be reached through the bypass "zum Graurock".

Specialty

A candle arch with a Schwarzenberg motif was installed on the nacelle of the wind turbine, which is closest to the municipality of Mülsen, at a height of 140 m for Christmas 2016/2017 . The aluminum construction weighs 35 kg and is 6 m wide and 3 m high. It consists of square profiles wrapped with fairy lights. The light arch was carried up with the freight elevator. During the Christmas season it shone daily from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
