Windy (weather data)
Windy is a Czech company that provides online weather data on its website windy.com .
In 2014 Ivo Lukačovič started the website windyty.com , in 2016 it changed the name to windytv.com and in 2017 finally to windy.com .
The website uses GFS , NEMS, ICON , AROME, METEOBLUE and ECMWF as weather forecast models .
The display takes place via a large weather map, the weather parameters such as temperature, precipitation, wind direction, wind strength, but also z. B. Including wave height.
The weather data for a specific period can be read off a timeline.
In 2019, the company ran applications for iOS and Android ; as of 2015, 15 employees work for the service according to their own information.
