Wiszowa Kępa [ vʲi'ʃɔva 'kɛmpa ] (German reed island ) is an island in the back delta of the Swine in Poland . It is located between Jezioro Wicko Wielkie ( Great Vietziger Lake ) and Alter Swine (Stara Świna). It is separated from the neighboring island Wołcza Kępa ( Wulwenkämpe ) to the northwest by the Stara Głębia ( Old Deep ) watercourse . To the north are the Trzcinice Islands ( Rohrhalter Islands ). To the south lies the Wielki Krzek ( Large Kricks ) with the Mały Krzek ( Small Kricks ) in front of it , to the west the island of Lądko ( Deepholm ).
The island is uninhabited and is under nature protection because of its nature, which offers special protection for many animal species , especially bird breeding areas .
