Vladimir Yuryevich Baskakov

Wladimir Jurjewitsch Baskakow (* 1954 ) is a Russian psychologist and psychotherapist who developed thanatotherapy . It is a form of body therapy .

Baskakov is the founder and first president of the Association of Body-Oriented Psychotherapists in Russia and a member of the European Association of Body-Oriented Psychotherapists (EABP) . Previously, he was the head of the psychological team of the USSR Ministry of Navy, as well as a member of the Physical Culture Committee of the State Sports Committee of the USSR. Since 2002 he has been the director of his own institute for thanatotherapy in Moscow .
