The buildings were probably built around 1835. These are three-story residential buildings.

According to the CIS (Construction Information Service) Dublin Docklands Report, these are to be renovated in the future. The Boland Mills buildings were bought by Benton Properties in 2004 for 42 million euros. The conversion into an urban living space with apartments, offices, retail, café and restaurant and exhibition space is planned.
