Brian Jack Hartline (* 22. November 1986 in Canton , Ohio ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played for the Miami Dolphins and the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL). Since retiring as an active player, he has worked as an assistant coach in college football .

college

Hartline attended Ohio State University and played college football for their team, the Buckeyes , with great success between 2006 and 2008 . He and his team won the title in the Big Ten Conference three times , with a total of 13 touchdowns .

NFL

Miami Dolphins

He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the 108th player . Already in his rookie season he was used in every game and scored 4 touchdowns.

In the following seasons he proved to be an important and reliable player in the offense of the Dolphins. In the 2012 and 2013 seasons he was able to run more than 1000 yards . In 2012 he set a new franchise record in this regard against the Arizona Cardinals with 253 yards run in one game .

Cleveland Browns

In 2015 he moved to the Cleveland Browns. In his first season in Cleveland, he was used in 12 games and scored 2 touchdowns.

On May 23, 2016, Hartline was sacked by the Browns, who selected four receivers in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Coaching career

In 2017 he started as a member of the coaching staff at his old university. Since the end of 2018 he has been responsible for the Buckeyes' wide receiver training .
