The Wolferstetter-Bräu is a brewery in the Lower Bavarian town of Vilshofen . It is the only brewery in the city, its annual output is 95,000 hl.
history
In 1907 Franz Wolferstetter took over one of the six breweries in Vilshofen, the Schreckinger-Bräu. In this brewery the Grollsche Brewery had already risen (the inventor of the Pils, Josef Groll , came from this brewery). The Wolferstetter Keller , an approx. 200 year old storage cellar for beer and a traditional restaurant above, also belong to the brewery. The Wolferstetter-Bräu is still a family-run company.
Contract brewing process
Since 2011, all wheat beers of the BayerWeizen and Lidwina brands have been produced in bottles for Weißbräu Josef Bayer ( Deggendorf ) . This is done on the basis of Weissbräu Josef Bayer's recipes and brewing processes .
