Wolfgang Hoßbach

Wolfgang Hoßbach (* 1936 in Glossen , Saxony ) is a German local politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany . On May 28, 1990, he became the first freely elected district administrator in the Quedlinburg district after the fall of the Berlin Wall. After only 16 days he resigned from this office due to a changed majority. From 1990 to 2004 Hoßbach was mayor of the community of Straßberg (Harz) .

In his free time he is actively involved in the Montanverein Ostharz eV and the mine museum Grube Glasebach .
