Wolfgang Nehb

Wolfgang Nehb (* 1909 ; † 1971 ) was a German internist . The bipolar chest wall recordings according to Nehb , which are recorded as part of an electrocardiogram (EKG), go back to him.

Nehb studied medicine and in 1935 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main with a thesis on thoracic leads the electrocardiogram doctorate . In 1938 he described in an article in the Klinische Wochenschrift the chest wall recordings that were later named after him. At that time he was an internist at the General Clinic Hamburg-Altona. Between 1953 and 1965 he worked as an internist at the Hamburg-Langenhorn General Hospital.
