Wolfstieg Society

The Wolfstieg Society was a German society for the promotion of masonic and scientific research that was founded in 1913.

It is named after August Wolfstieg (1859–1922), author of the bibliography of Masonic literature .

The society published its study results in booklets. It disbanded in 1935.

history

It temporarily stopped its work during the inflationary period of the 1920s, but was brought back to life in 1926 at the conference of the Association of German Freemasons in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe .

Identical names of a new club

In 2020 an association of the same name was founded, which tries to tie in with the historical society. There is no personal continuity or legal succession.
