Woody Island is a small island around 25 kilometers northeast of Port Douglas on the Coral Sea coast in northern Queensland , in Trinity Bay .
It forms the Low Isles with the neighboring, smaller Low Island , which lies almost 600 meters northwest within the shared coral reef . Woody Island is an uninhabited coral and mangrove island.
