The World Basketball Association is an American professional minor league for basketball .

history

The WBA was founded in 2004 with seven teams eligible to play. However, one of the actually selected teams did not take part in the season and was replaced by the Bristol Crusaders. A team's squad has ten free places, of which a maximum of two players may have more than five years of professional league experience.
