World Water Index

The World Water Index (WOWAX) is a stock index . It contains the world's 20 largest companies in the water supply, infrastructure and purification sectors.

The index was launched on February 2, 2006 by Société Générale in cooperation with the SAM Group and the Dow Jones Index / STOXX. It is a performance index , the starting value was 1,950.30 points. The index composition is reviewed every 6 months. The stocks included are weighted equally every 3 months. The criterion for inclusion in the index is based on the market capitalization and high liquidity of the companies.

The index was registered under ISIN XY0100291446. An index certificate from Société Générale, which is based on the price index , has the WKN : SG3SQ2 (ISIN: DE000SG3SQ27).
