Scurry factor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Scurry factor describes one aspect of computer games .

The scurry factor describes an imaginary and subjective variable for the comparison of economic simulations , in particular building strategy games . It has been used repeatedly by PC computer game magazines . It was first mentioned in the Powerplay in the Lemming test to reflect the impression that is created when many figures and other moving objects "scurry around" in games such as Lemmings , Die Siedler , Cultures , Die Völker and partly in Anno , but also in economic games like RollerCoaster Tycoon . A high buzz factor stands for a respectable game action , the small characters are perceived as cute (reinforced by the often comic- like graphics ), the player should have fun watching the hustle and bustle of craftsmen, sellers, animals and other things - who are otherwise in Strategy games, the usual battle scenes often take a back seat.
