wxBasic
wxBasic is an open-source implementation of BASIC - Interpreter of David Cuny . The programs generated with it run under Windows and Linux .
wxBasic is written in C with a C ++ layer to add the wxWidgets GUI library. wxBasic uses a bytecode like Perl , Java or VB.net. In addition to the program text, all that is required for delivery is a runtime EXE file that is smaller than 1 MB.
The interpreter has not been further developed since 2006. Instead, the project worked out in the follow- up project sdlBasic .
