Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN (Państwowe Wydawnictwo Naukowe) is a Polish science publisher .

The leading Polish publisher for specialist literature , school books , encyclopedias , encyclopedias and dictionaries was founded as a state publisher in 1951 and privatized in 1992. He is the editor of the most extensive Polish encyclopedia in 30 volumes (18 volumes were published by 2003). In 2003 the revision of the Polish Universal Dictionary with almost 100,000 headwords was published. The publisher has been publishing the “Library of Classical Philosophy ” since 1951 ; 194 volumes have appeared in the series to date.

From 1957 to 2008 the Warsaw Młodziejowski Palace was the seat of the publishing house.
