Exchange Broadcast Binary and Metadata Format

Exchange Broadcast Binary and Metadata Format ( XBMF ) is a binary file format that serves as a container format for metadata in XML format and content such as audio, images, videos and other data ( Binary XML ).

An XBMF consists of an archive packed as .tar.gz , in which there is a Metadata.xml and subdirectories with the corresponding media files.

The standard is based on the following standards: Dublin Core 1.1, SOMA 0.5 and EBU Tech 3273.
