Xbox Development Kit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Xbox Development Kit (XDK) is a software development kit that was developed by Microsoft to develop games for the Xbox .

XDK can be used as an add-on to Microsoft Visual C ++ 2003 .NET to create software for the Xbox . It is the official proprietary program that the Xbox game developers were supposed to use to develop games that MS made available to licensed developers.

A free alternative to the XDK is the open source OpenXDK.
