Xerography (animation)

The xerography describes a character animator Ub Iwerks for Walt Disney Studios developed method to animate paper phases which formerly consuming celweise with ink had to be Paust to Transparency to photocopy on film. This process was first used for the film 101 Dalmatians (1961). The basic principle was invented by the American physicist Chester Carlson and is based on the publications of the Hungarian physicist Pál Selényi.
