Xmgrace - often just Grace - is a free program for processing and displaying measured values . Its strengths lie in its graphical user interface , its WYSIWYG functionality and the convenient handling of the read-in measured values in ASCII format. Furthermore, comments, legends and entire drawings can be inserted with the supplied drawing tools .

The program enables the display of a large number of two-dimensional diagrams and is also able to mathematically process the raw data in real time . Data export functions are available for the values obtained . The program is suitable as a function plotter for mathematical expressions ; a large number of file formats are available for output on a printer .

Xmgrace is developed in Israel at the Weizmann Institute under Linux and is part of many Linux distributions . With a little effort, however, it can also be transferred to other platforms such as Windows . The program is free software and is under the GNU General Public License .
