xyY color space

The xyY color space designates the "horseshoe" or "shoe sole-shaped" standard color table of the CIE color system .

Here x stands for the red / purple axis, y for the green axis.

The Y-axis, which can only be displayed in a three-dimensional view, contains the information on the brightness of the respective color tone.
