Yū Aoi ( Japanese 蒼 井 優 , Aoi Yū ; born August 17, 1985 in Kasuga , Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese actress and model .

Film career

She made her film debut in 2001 as Shiori Tsuda in Shunji Iwai's film All About Lily Chou-Chou . She then portrayed Tetsuko Arisugawa in Hana to Alice (2004), also directed by Iwai, Kimiko Tanigawa in the dance film Hula Girls . For Otoko-tachi no Yamato and Hula Girls , she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the Japanese Academy Award in 2007, but lost to Sumiko Fuji , who was also nominated for Hula Girls . But she was honored with seven others as the best young actor.

In 2006 she played the role of Hagumi Hanamoto in the film adaptation of the manga Honey and Clover . In the real-life version of Tokyo Ghoul from 2017, she can be seen in the role of Rize Kamishiro.

In total, she played in about 20 series and 40 films.
