YAESU VX-7R

The Yaesu VX-7R is a handheld radio for amateur radio use . This handheld radio is for the m-6 , 2-m and 70-cm - amateur bands provided. The radio has a built-in receiver and can receive frequencies from 1 to 990 MHz. The maximum transmission power is 5 watts.

The device is waterproof (IP X7) and can be equipped with a barometric sensor. External microphones can be connected to a 4-pin jack socket with an additional screw connection. Power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery .

Programming can be done using the keypad as well as using the interface to be connected to the 4-pin jack socket, but it is less laborious to do this using a computer.

Its successor is the VX-8R handheld radio, which has been available in Germany since mid-2009 .
