Yamanashi-ken Gokoku Shrine
The Yamanashi-ken-Gokoku-Shrine ( Japanese 山梨縣 護 国 神社 , Kyūjitai : 山梨縣 護 國 神社 , -jinja , dt. " Shrine for the defense of the land of Yamanashi Prefecture") is a Shinto shrine in the tradition of the former Japanese State Shinto .
It is located on the northern edge of Kofu on the foothills of the mountains that surround the Kofu Basin , in the middle of a burial area. 500 meters northwest of it is the Takeda Shrine and 400 meters east of the temple Enko-in . It commemorates the war dead from Yamanashi Prefecture.
