Yang Wangsun
Yang Wangsun ( Chinese 楊 王孫 / 杨 王孙 , W.-G. Yang Wang-sun ) was a Chinese Daoist and atheist who lived during the reign of Emperor Wu (ruled 141-87 BC) in the Era Han dynasty lived. According to the Hanshu ( History of the Western Han Dynasty ), he belonged to the Huang Lao school . Yang was very wealthy, so he never tried to get a post. Even so, he defied the custom of lavish funerals and commissioned his son to bury him naked once. A corpse, he said, should be plain and simple like the matter into which it would transform. Every ornament has no advantages for the body. He recorded his atheistic views in the book On the Nude Burial ( Luozang shu臝 葬 書 / 裸 葬 书).
