Yangdong ( Chinese  阳 东区 , Pinyin Yángdōng Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture-level city of Yangjiang in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong . Yangdong has an area of ​​2,043 km² and has a population of around 440,000 (2003). Its main town is the large community of Dongcheng (东 城镇).
