Yasushi Matsumoto ( Japanese 松本 安 司 , Matsumoto Yasushi ; born June 17, 1969 in Mie Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Matsumoto learned to play soccer on the school team at Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School . He signed his first contract with Mitsubishi Motors in 1988 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 1. At the end of the 1988/89 season, the club was relegated to Division 2. 1989/90 he was with the club champion of division 2 and rose to division 1. With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Mitsubishi Motors became Urawa Reds . At the end of 1993 he ended his career as a football player.
