Yorkville (Toronto)

Yorkville is a district of Toronto . It belongs to the Old Toronto district . Founded in 1830, it was incorporated into the city of Toronto in 1883. Yorkville's historic core was north of Bloor Street and east of Avenue Road. Nowadays it stretches to Davenport Road in the north and Yonge Street in the east and is considered an exclusive shopping area. The local section of Bloor Street in Yorkville, along with Robson Street in Vancouver, was one of the 25 most expensive streets in the world in 2007.

The Toronto International Film Festival is held annually in Yorkville .
