Young Conservatives is the youth organization of the British Conservative Party . It is aimed at members of the Conservative Party who are 25 years of age or younger.

The Young Conservatives are part of the International Young Democrat Union at the international level and part of the European Young Conservatives at the European level .

history

The Young Conservatives were founded in 1906 and were called that until they were renamed Conservative Future in 1998 . On November 19, 2015, the entire leadership of the youth organization was suspended and the Tory youth were placed under the party's direct control. In 2018, the party youth organization was re-established under the old name.

When John Bercow met Margaret Thatcher in the 1979 election campaign , she proposed to him in front of the Torie Youth to join the Young Conservatives , which he then did.
