Yuan Bao ( Chinese  元寶  /  元宝 , Pinyin yuánbǎo ) is a Chinese symbol of luck, similar to the pig in German. In Chinese, Yuan Bao means above all to get rich and successful in your job. Cast in gold in standardized sizes, the Yuan Bao used to be the official currency. There are also coins called Yuan Bao. Here the idea of the standardized amount of gold was transferred to standardized coinage, which now determined the value of the means of payment instead of the pure weight.
