ZEE5
ZEE5 is an Indian video-on-demand website operated by the Essel Group through its subsidiary Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL). The head office is in Mumbai . It was launched on February 14, 2018 in India with content in 12 languages. The ZEE5 mobile application may be a. available via web, Android, iOS and smart TVs.
The platform also made the first Tamil web series available in 2018, entitled America Mappillai. The same year the platform also launched another web series title, Kallachirippu, produced by popular filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj , and Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, a biographical web series about Sunny Leone.
The service was launched everywhere except the United States due to Dish Network's clause in the contract between ZEE and the satellite operator, the main Indian channel operator in the country.
In 2019, ZEE5 reached over 61 million viewers per month.
