Zaghunluq tombs
The Zaghunluq graves or the cemetery of Zagunluk ( Chinese 扎 滚 鲁克 古墓 群 , Pinyin Zhāgǔnlǔkè gǔmùqún , English Zaghunluq Cemetery ) are in the Qarqan district of the Uighur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in western China on the edge of the Taklamakan desert. It is an up to 3,000 year old burial place of nomads.
In addition to many naturally preserved mummies , Konghou harps were also found.
The graves have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-192) since 2001 .
