Zalman Tech Co. is a South Korean company that develops and markets retrofit computer products. The product range includes heat sinks , fans and water cooling systems for cooling PC components, power supplies as well as computer and hard drive cases.

Founded in 1999, the company owns a number of patents relating to cooling and noise reduction. Zalman was the first to manufacture a completely fanless case. It was based on a lamellar system that dissipates the heat from the graphics card, mainboard and CPU through the housing. Zalman also penetrated the headphone market with the ZM-RS6F / M 5.1 headphone system.

In 2011, Zalman was taken over by Moneual. In 2014 it became known that the management of this company allegedly embezzled several hundred million euros in a large-scale fraud and that Zalman was facing bankruptcy as a result.

Monitors

Zalman is a pioneer and market leader in stereoscopic (3D) LCD monitors that are used with polarized 3D glasses (+ 45 ° / + 45 ° orientation, similar to the 0 ° / 0 ° RealD , CINEMA 3D and Easy 3D) . These products allow the user to stereoscopically display games and other three-dimensional media. However, special playback software is required, or images and videos must first be converted using software. The Zalman software is only available for Windows 7. The Zalman monitors work directly (via PC) with the 3D software iZ3D, but can also display many computer games stereoscopically with the Nvidia 3D Vision driver.
