Zawi Chemi is a prehistoric settlement in the Iraqi governorate of Erbil , four kilometers from the Shanidar Cave .

A very old radiocarbon dating gives the age of the find layer with about 8640 BC. Chr. At (10870 ± 300 BP , W-681). One of the finds is obsidian , which comes from Nemrut Dağı in Turkey .
