Zbyněk Busta (born March 10, 1967 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .

Player career

Busta played for lower-class clubs in Central Bohemia, in his youth for Sokol Pyšely and Slavoj Čerčany, in the adult area for TJ Měchenice, TJ Hvozdnice and Slavoj Davle.

Coaching career

From 1984 Busta worked as a coach in the junior division of FC Bohemians Prague . After the club went bankrupt and the club was re-established in 2005 as Bohemians in 1905 , he became head coach. In the second division 2006/07 season he was up for debate after a bad start, but a winning streak brought the turnaround and promotion to the Gambrinus League .

Since Busta lacked the coaching license required for the first division , one of the two assistant coaches, Václav Hradecký , was officially given as head coach. Busta acquired the professional license in the 2007/08 season.

Six game days before the end of the 2007/08 season, Busta resigned from the coaching office. Bohemians was at the end of the table with only 18 points. For the 2008/09 season Busta took over third division club Slovan Varnsdorf.
