The Jungmann colliery (or also the young man ) was a coal mine in Hammertal , district Durchholz , today Witten.

history

The mining field of the Jungmann colliery was awarded in 1759 . The mine was not in operation from 1796 to 1847, nothing is known about the period up to 1935. In 1935 it was put back into operation. In 1939 the mine was finally closed due to the Second World War .

Workforce and promotion

Very little is known about sponsorship and workforce numbers. In 1937, 32 employees mined 10,000 tons of coal. The highest funding was given in 1939. 13,000 tons of coal were mined here with 38 employees.
