The Malakoff colliery is a former hard coal mine in Wetter-Albringhausen . The mine was a small mine , the owner of this small mine was Johann Schwefer Steinkohlengewinnungsgesellschaft mbH . The mine was later taken over by Malakoff GmbH . The mine was only in operation for a few years.

Mining history

The mine was already in operation on March 25, 1949. On October 1, 1951, the miners' registration took place. In the following year, 86 miners provided the maximum output for the mine. The production this year amounted to 26,303 tons of hard coal . In 1953, 74 miners extracted 22,422 tons of hard coal. On March 31, 1954, the Malakoff colliery was shut down. In 1958, a square was leased to the Neu Mecklingsbank colliery.
