The Scherenberg colliery old plant is a former hard coal mine in Sprockhövel- Haßlinghausen .
Mining history
In 1797 the Isaac shaft was mined . In 1805 the Johann and Friedrich shafts were in operation. This year 730 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1808 the Petri shaft was mined, and that year 703 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1810 the Anton, Caroline and Paulus shafts were in operation. In 1815, the Sibilla shaft was still being mined for a few weeks. From February of the same year, the old Scherenberg mine was shut down. In June 1818 the mine was put back into operation. By the end of the year, the upper tunnel was dismantled. It was mined in the United Shaft. From December 1819, the Scherenberg colliery, the old work of the Lehnbank colliery, was closed.
